If you change "war in Iraq" to " War on Oil' then you would be supporting the both at a time.......And speaking truly, though its very good to wage a war on terror, i didn't see any such war which is claimed to be...... I could only see a war for supporting the Economy of some superpowers by invading the weak countries having some rich resources unfortunatly !!

Of course there is a difference!
Not all terrorism stems from Iraq, now does it?
The war in Iraq is based on fallacies, where as terrorism is alive and well and affecting the lives of people in all countries.(Even neutral countries are affected by terrorism). We can SEE the terrorism, i.e. Bali, 9/11, where as we could never see the supposed "weapons of mass destruction" that Iraq was planning on using against the United States. They are connected but not the same thing because there are terrorists in Iraq but not all Iraqis are terrorists.

The war in Iraq is about terror. You cannot support the war on terror and be against the Iraq war, that is not possible. It is like saying I love my wife but never spend any time with her. You cannot have it both ways. Either you support Iraq and the troops or you don't... there is NO middle ground.
I notice democrats love to claim this as an illegal war but that would be a bold faced lie if said. Second they love to call it unjustified, 50 million free and voting is a justifiable reason even if you don't like it, it still IS justifiable. Third, they love to say "criminal", "waste" and a slew of other catch phrases that are nothing more than failed talking points that only tend to disrupt and not unite.
One who is intellectually honest supports the war on terror in Iraq, the ones who aren't, well they make up reasons for us not to be there.

"Is there a difference between supporting the "War on Terror" and the "War in Iraq"?"
Yes, if you support the war on terror, you can't possibly support the war in Iraq. If you support the war in Iraq, you don't support the war on terror.

I support a full and complete investigation of 9/11...then we can address terrorism and its funding, suppliers, and root causes.

Those who are so blindly led into wars of choice, may be indeed are over looking the real terrorist within.
Raymond L. McGovern – Former Chairman, National Intelligence Estimates, CIA, responsible for preparing the President’ Daily Brief (PDB) for Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush. 27-year CIA veteran. Former U.S. Army Intelligence Officer.
Video 7/22/06: "I think at simplest terms, there’s a cover-up. The 9/11 report is a joke. The question is: What’s being covered up? Is it gross malfeasance, gross negligence, misfeasance? … Now there are a whole bunch of unanswered questions. And the reason they’re unanswered is because this administration will not answer the questions. … I just want to reassert, what Scott [Ritter, former Major in the U.S. Marines Corps, former Chief Weapons Inspector for the United Nations Special Commission in Iraq] said and this is the bottom line for me, just as Hitler in 1933 cynically exploited the burning of the parliament building, the Reichstag, this is exactly what our President did in exploiting 9/11. The cynical way in which he played on our trauma, used it to justify attacking, making a war of aggression on a country that he knew had nothing to do with 9/11. That suffices for me, I think Scott is exactly right, that’s certainly an impeachable offense." http://video.google
Endorsement of 9/11 and American Empire (Vol I) – Intellectuals Speak Out: "It has long been clear that the Bush-Cheney administration cynically exploited the attacks of 9/11 to promote its imperial designs. But the present volume confronts us with compelling evidence for an even more disturbing conclusion: that the 9/11 attacks were themselves orchestrated by this administration precisely so they could be thus exploited. If this is true, it is not merely the case, as the Downing Street memos show, that the stated reason for attacking Iraq was a lie. It is also the case that the whole 'war on terror' was based on a prior deception." http://www.interlinkbooks.com

You can't support a war on terror. Terror is a concept. How can you go to war against a concept?

Republicans don't see what's going on and clearly don't have a clue about terror...
right now... we're fighting it on their terms... in Iraq.. the terror leadership is sitting in other countries... sending troops in at their leisure when they want too...
this is a SAD, SAD war on terror, since we're not going after them...
it's basically just like Vietnam, when we couldn't go into North where the leadership was... so we sit in the south and waited on them to attack, just exactly like we're doing now...
they have an almost infinite supply of foot soldiers... and the leadership isn't going to stick their necks out when they have us where they want us...
the Taliban is already starting to make a comeback in Afghanistan... a terrorist hotbed...
basically I think the terrorists just want to keep us tied up in Iraq forever... so they can go about their business everywhere else...
so to answer your question... a smart person would see the HORRIBLE strategy deployed here... it's elementary...
supporting the war in Iraq is basically handcuffing our army to stay in Iraq and not go after the terror leadership, which is the thing that will come closest to ending this war...

Big difference.
Iraq is an illegitimate War for Israel Security.
War on Terror in general concerns our internal security.
