I want to give my best friend a baby shower but some of the people on her list, family members, are what one could call shaddy characters. I'm haveing the party at my home and I just don't feel comportable with haveing these types of individuals in my home. I can't change locations and I can't figure out how to invite some of the family without makeing the others upset. By the way everyone one guest list are people that I don't know. I need some help to figure out how to deal with this. Should I just let it go and get over it, after all it's her special day and she should have everyone she wants there?

nice gesture but you might not be the ideal one to be hosting this - and if you really want this have a group of your combined friends and yes you should know at least 90% of the guest for a fun time. You are the host but you should have decided that it's her happiness. Never understood this baby shower thing though. Causes issues like this.
