if a+a+a=b and b =c... then c x 3 = 3a
if 1/3+1/3+1/3=1 and 1/3=0.333... then 0.333x3=3(1/3)
=1

1/3 is not exactly equal to 0.333. The dividend is a reoccurring decimal, i.e. 3 goes on reoccurring indefinitely. Therefore, 0.333..........x3 =1 . However, since 0.333 is not equal to 0.333...... I must say that 0.333x3- 0.999. If you want the answer correct to 2 decimal places, then it becomes 1.00

but if you change 1/3 into a decimal
then 1/3 = 0.333333333 (recuring)
0.33333333 x 3 = 0.9999999999999 (recuring)
0.999999999 = (approx) = 1

1/3 is0,333333333333333333... it can't be equaled.( the 0,3.. never ends) And 1/3 x 3= 1
0,333333..... x 3 = 0,99999999999999....
0,9999999999... is closer to 1 so it's equaled to 1.

1/3 is 0.33333333333333333333333333................... never perfectly divisible, so u have only an approximate answer.
And 0.333333333333333333............ X 3 is approximately 1.
