Check the local pawn shops. Is there any surveillance in the office, definitely check the tapes. Who had access to the office (or specifically the laptops) during the date/time that they were stolen. Have you already filed a police report. Offer a reward for clues that lead to the capture of the thieves.

There are several tracers you can use to locate a laptop, but the local police aren't going to go to any great lengths to check these. Your Windows installation has it's unique CD Key as well as alot of other software on your laptop. When Windows and possible other software check for updates, the CD key is verified. This communication can then be tracked to the location the computer accessed the internet. ISPs keep logs of IP addresses they assign. Likewise, the NIC has a unique MAC address that can be similarly traced. Each laptop also has a unique serial number usually found on a sticker on the bottom which can be used to identify the laptop.

The only problem is, all of these can be removed or changed, if the thieves are smart enough. If someone just swiped it in a crime of opportunity, they probably don't know about all of these. If someone stole it because that's what they do, than either they or whoever fences it for them will likely remove all traces.

Ask the cops.

If you don't have the serial numbers and have not marked the components with smart water or some such, you'll probably never see them again anyway. They're likely to have been sold (and if you are lucky wiped first) or broken into parts and sold.

If you're really lucky the thief may get caught and still have them, but don't count on it.

My employers have lost several laptops (from cars, from hotel rooms, on trains, from the office) and none of them were ever recovered.

Pray to God that He will cause it to be found. Plus, try the suggestions you will get from others reply. And if you finally find the Laptop, give the credit to God, so that he will listen to your prayers the same way in the future.
