My Giant rabbits are fed unlimited pellets and hay. My smaller Mini Rex get their measure of pellets every evening, but have unlimited hay all day. Vege's and fruit are limited to twice a week, small amounts. Fruits like Banana and Grapes are loaded with sugar and not good for a rabbit's gut. Small pieces of apple (no seeds!) , orange (leave the skin on), melon, pear, papaya, and pineapple are fine. Cilantro, parsley, romaine, spinach, beet tops, carrot tops, etc. are fine. But introduce new foods slowly, make sure it doesn't cause digestive issues (diarrhea) before adding any thing else new. Avoid iceburg lettuce, potatoes, cauliflower and broccoli.

You can leave a bowl of dry pellets in his cage all day long. Feeding A well-balanced dry rabbit mix will contain all the necessary nutritional requirements that these pet rabbits need. They can live healthy lives on a diet of the dry mix and some dry grass hay. They do not need to be fed fresh fruit and vegetables. Rabbits have quite delicate stomachs, so if you do feed these make sure they are limited as too much can cause diarrhea. I am not shure as if there is a best veggie other then the one your rabbit favors.. Some favor carrots over spuds and some celery over carrots.

Rabbits are continuous grazers just like many herbivores. They only stop eating for short periods except when they are sick. They are prone to a problem called gut stasis that is commonly associated with periods of fasting. Rabbits should eat predominately grass hays and only a small amount of other foods such as fruit and vegetables or pellets. Carrots are suprisingly fattening! So limit these. Also clover and lucerne needs to also limited. Avoid cabbage and lettuce as it can upset their tummy and if unwell feed parsley. Hope this helps.

I would feed them twice a day. Early morning and late afternoon.
A varied diet is best, consisting mainly of grass, but also offer carrots, carrot tops, apple, parsley, fennel and hay. All should be fresh(not something you would not eat yourself) and not directly from the refrigerator.Introduce new foods gradually.
