Can any1 tell me if the bmw 535i is prone 2 over heating due 2 air in the heating system asthe 520i is?

not from my experience ..i had a 535 for six years and it never overheated once ..but i certainly pulled into a lot of filling stations ..now i have a 528 . its just as fast but i get 30 mpg easily

You might try checking the air butterfly on the exit of the air cleaner.it could be seized in the closed position,a common fault with BMW.Perhaps the car has been stood a while.An easy thing to rectify either clean and polish or buy the Bosch replacement part....just saved you 100 quid pal.
