They have cheapened the value of music. Music is no longer something you sit down and enjoy, now you carry it with you and just feed it to your brain subconsciously while you engage in another activity. MP3's are also inferior quality and anyone who really enjoys music will be able to hear the difference.

The biggest problem that I have seen is that people ignore important signals because they can't hear anything with the headphones on. When I have mine playing, I catch myself looking everywhere more to compensate for the loss of hearing.

They haven't. They've got radios and CD players beat. Very convenient and holds tons of music.

well, people lose them, people are stealing them, people are getting worse grades because they are spending too much time listening to them, we spend too much money on downloading songs, we waste our time, and we beg until we cry to get one (or at least, some of us do......)
