how can i go around the blocking system and download movies and MP3s, i have the internet, i can go to most web sites but when i download they stop the downloading

dude it's your office what do you expect?
If i worked in your IT dept I wouldn't allow it either....forget about the whole productivity thing for a min because i couldn't care less about how well you do your job. But just think about how much time we spend trying to keep the network from getting jammed up with virues coming through company email.....and we're gonna open the company up to litagation from the RIAA because some junior trainee in payroll wants the new p-diddy album?
Just set up a p2p connection at home.....queue up everything you want....when you get back from work you'll have all your movies. pretty simple

Do you so want to download at work that you want to lose your job? If they ban surfing (and it sounds like by blocking almost every site they do) then check your employment terms... you will probably find that you can be dismissed on the spot if they find you bypassing the restrictions. Get a copy of the company's acceptable use policy and make sure you stay within it.
You will probably also find that they are monitoring all traffic and that you're on someone's radar already. Do it from home.
Your employer is taking the attitude that some videos and mp3s are not legal cos they are pirate, so if they *let* you do it they are permitting activity that may cause them trouble. On the other hand they may be taking the attitude that they pay you to work for them not to use their network for your fun.
Oh, or you could download from home or change employers.

Probably your System Admin will be monitoring your activity, so be careful. Downloading movies should never be done coz files are very large and it will draw attention as they are big downloads.
Downloading of mp3's can be done once in a while.
Search for websites that do not have "mp3","music", or such words in their http path name.
befriend a sysadmin and ask how they track downloads and learn more about your company policy towards downloading.
