Ok every sense I hit puberty I have had white stuff come out for my private area. Now that I'm getting older and trying to have a kid it is getting worse. I went to the health department and they said that nothing was wrong with me when they did a pap smear and drew blood. I've been told a few different storys about the problem. First one is I've heard that it is a infection, second is that is when I'm suspose to be ovulating. Well I know that the second can't be right because there is no way that you can ovulate all the time is there? Me and my fiance are getting married in June and we want to have a kid for when we are married. We have tried before but I've never got pregnant. Could the white stuff mean that I can't have kids? :(
Please serious answers only this has got me so sad and my fiance because no one can tell us the answer. Unless you can go to a doctor and they tell you I think..

Hmmm, I'd say that if your doctor isn't concerned by the problem, then there's probably not too much to worry about- It just sounds like discharge, which is a natural form of lubricant released by the body during arousal or ovulation. It is also your vagina's natural internal cleaning system. It shouldn't interfere with ytour fertility, but if you're still worried, I recommend that you get a second opinion from another gyno. Good Luck, I hope this all works out for you :)

I'm not a dr but I would like to try and help if I can b ecause I've had a lot of issues with my vagina and discharge over the years.

The stuff coming out of your private area is vaginal discharge and yes it will change during the time that you ovulate so that it's a bit thicker. It can sometimes look more like a yellowish tint.

Where the problem comes in as far as thickness is if it starts to look like cottage cheese, when that happens it is an indicator of a yeast infection so my next question would be is that when they were checking everything did they actually culture the discharge to see if it showed signs of an infection such as yeast?

You also mentioned that you have tried to get pregnant and was unsuccessful. May I ask how long you have been trying for? The reason I ask about this is because if it's been a year you may need to be checked by an infertility specialist to have hormones checked out and such. A primary care dr can also do this if you can't get to a fertility specialist.

One other question and you can answer me this in private e-mail or thru IM. Does endometriosis run in your family?

Was the dr that ran the tests at the health clinic a gyn or a primary care dr? The reason I ask is because that could make a big difference in you trying to get answers.

Something else that I have thought about too is that I have noticed that my discharge has been a bit thicker as well as changed color because of being on the pill. Were you ever on the pill at any time? I was just curious about this one.

i asked my mom this question when it started to happen to me when i was like 13 only she got real embarassed and i was mistified huh?.turns out your body gets turned and it makes a whiteish clear lubrication but you probably didnt realize it. i didnt make the connection till i had actuall sex when i was 19 . it happens all by itself if your ovulating you dont even need to think about anythin sexy and there it is...the stuff dosent have any other color 2 it does it ? any color besides clear or white is bad it dosent smell dose it? do you ever have burning when you pee or when your doing it?? if yes go to a dr. but i really think your normal!! you are probably perfictly healthy and able to have kids .an herbalist dr, could help you with the proper herbs and vitamins for nutrition for fertility that could help with conception of babies and ! good luck
