my problem is i dont know how the meaning of the certain word selected will be displayed in a label box...pls help me

It depends on where you are storing the definition. Is it in a text file? Excel spreadsheet? A database?

Are the words to be defined in a drop down list or entered by the user?

Basically, you compare the word to wherever it is stored (Like column 1 of a spreadsheet) and get the associated definition (column 2 of the spreadsheet) to display in a label box
