I'm not sure which "english revolution" you are referring to - but i will assume the common link is the deposing of the Monarchy and the establishment of a Republic.
Hence we will assume that it was the English Republic of Oliver Cromwell - well the English Protectorate.

Essentially the common theme is that a monarch (or monarchy) was removed. However the links are numerous.
In English it was a power hungry King - Charles - who wished to reinstate Absolute rule of a Monarch - along the French Catholic Monarch line.
The French revolted because of economic poverty and because Louis was an absolute monarch living in luxury.

and the USA revolted not because they hated the monarchy... lets get that one straight. Many of them would have remained members of the British Empire - many wanted to after the war - but they wanted representation WITH PARLIAMENT in Britain. THATS what the War of Independance was over - not because they hated the king.

So all of them havea common thread of the people - en masse - desiring some form of governmental participation - English resiting Charles, French outsing an absolute monarch and the American's fighting for the right to vote as citizens of the Empire (much like Ghandi - except he wanted to break away from english rule completely)

Hope that helps...

Which English Revolution? There was the English Civil War, and then the so-called 'Glorious Revolution' of 1688.
