How do you celebrate Earth Day?
What efforts are you making to preserve our Mother Earth?

Our school kids are recycling plastic shopping bags, so I have been making an effort to take mine in. I had no idea how many of these I used or could collect in any given week. I was just throwing them away. It's amazing to me how quickly they add up. With all of the parents and families in our neighborhood doing just this one simple thing, there have been hundreds of 50 gallon sacks full of these bags to be recycled. I think the most important thing we can do for earth day is to choose just one thing and do it consistently. Over time it will become a habit. If everyone just does one extra thing each day, it will add up geometrically to make the Earth a better place for all of us.

Where i leave almost nothing we don't even have the recycling bins.
I need 2 travel 1h, 2 find the nearest one.
I can't do this every week. No time.
Their r times that i have the things in my house for a month until i have the time to go 1h, and then 1h 2 came back again.
2 h 4 a recycling bin is 2 much.
We r soooooo stupid.

I recycle when ever I can. I can conserve electricity and water. I drive only when I need to. On earth day I buy a few trees and plant them wherever.

Our family recycled cans and paper for years, but the city doesn't pick it up anymore.
