You would have to say both, and it depends on the situation.
Tigers are naturally more reclusive than lions, so they are less likely to appear as ferocious, though I'm sure when confronted they can hold their own.
Male lions are only ferocious when defending their pride or hunting, as most of the day they lie around sleeping. The female is far more dangerous, especially when she has young to protect.
But both should be left alone by man to thrive in their natural habitat - this way neither will have to be ferocious to humans at all!

What is all this stuff about Lions in the jungle? They are savannah predators. Tigers are the "king of the jungle" because they actually LIVE in a jungle type habitat.
A tiger would be more ferocious. If you are considered a threat to them, they will attack you. They are also bigger than a lion.
A lion, if you are a threat, but he is eating at a kill site, he will take two steps towards you, roar, and then go back to the food. I know a couple chemical immobilization officers, and they said that the lion never takes more than 3 steps. If you stay out of that range, you are fine. Of course they have a back up gun if it doesn't hold true, but so far it has.
Because a tiger is bigger and does not have the limitations a lion has, I would definately say a tiger is more ferocious.

My oppinion A Lion..... why?
Because of their strength and head and jaw are bigger They dominate the jungle and other animals.
Lions eat Africans and are carnivorous but African Lions such as in:
The Ghost in the Darkness based on true story of Pattersons adventures these were special Lions because it is said they hunted together in the1898-1930's era and killed for sport to torment and play like a cat plays a mouse then feasts
These lions never attacked for hungar normally lions hunt alone.
The Art Institute of Chicago Portrays these Lions from that era. Linked Below
2 witness a fight netween the 2 would be a Hell of a match.
A Tiger is thick and agile and the live in a totally different part of the world mainly in India Tigers are kings of their territory too and even swim for miles they are known to feast on their Indian neighbors Bengal Tigers
Ferocious both are but lion tops in my oppinion

Even though you didn't ask, the most ferocious land predator pound for pound, is a wolverine. To highlight their viciousness, Grizzly bears avoid them like the plague. It is thought that there is probably no land creature could go one on one with a wolverine and survive. That being said, between a male tiger and a male lion, the tiger wins hands down. As far as the females go, I would imagine that they are about equal. I don't really like the tone of your question and question your motives for asking it.

Tigers are much more ferocious. Tigers are lone hunters and have been known to take down water buffalo by themselves. Lions are pack hunters and the females do the hunting. the males are fairly docile unless there is a female in heat.

Tiger - bigger, more powerful and much more ferocious than a Lion - Lions are basically lazy animals - Tigers can kill for fun - BUT I LOVE THEM!

Tigers. Have you ever seen one up close? they're massive!
They are also solitary predators whereas Lions hunt in packs.
I think Tigers are much harder than Lions. At the risk of sounding ecologically insensitive, i would love to see a fight between a Tiger and a Lion!

My money is on tigers. They seem to have more of an attitude than lions. I see more stories and shows on tigers attacking humans in India and Indonesia too, only think I've seen one about a lion who turned man eater.

A tiger. Lions hunt together with the lionesses of the pride taking the lead. They are strategists and work as a team. A tiger works alone and just goes for it, stalking its prey, attacking and going for the jugular (throat).
