Enigma, has actually spawned the genre "enigmatic" and Michael Cretu is definitely the forefather of the Ibiza Sound. Prior to 1998 when he put out the Trilogy Compilation, Enigma would be placed in Ambient & New Age. Certain tracks will fall under: Trance & Dark Trance, Gregorian, Ethereal, Tribal, EuroDance, World Fusion, Chill-out, Electronica and Techno.

Enya, has won 4 grammy's in the "New Age," category. But she also touches other genres such as: Celtic, Pagan, Gaelic, Ambient, Trance, Chill-out, Instrumental and Soundtrack.

Deep Forest falls under: Ambient, Tribal House, Tribal Trance, Goa Trance, Arabesque, World Fusion, Chill-out, Comparsa, IDM (Intelligent Dance Music) and New Age.
