I don't think many people make a living out of it exactly, but if you perservere, there are prizes to be had. There's a UK site at www.prizefinder.com and I used to enter some stuff when I was in the UK - I won a weekend in London with tickets to gigs and events, various DVDs, some designer sunglasses and some mens underwear (!) - but my sister's really into it and has had holidays in Venice and Portugal. She's also had a whole heap of garbage, and it means you get more junk mail than ever before. The best thing I ever won though was The Weakest Link a few years back when I won just over £3000.

when i was younger we won a sega mega drive without even knowing we entered the competition!
and a knitted scarecrow because we guessed his name right, bertie, was a real nice surprise.
there's loads of websites out there that are full of all open competitions that u can enter, yeah i've heard of some people making a living off it but u gotta enter loads as probaility is real low.

Yes I enter photography contests. Actually today I find out if I won one of the contests. If so, I could win $250.

You are right some people do make a living out of it. I do the word puzzles in different magazine, but never send them off. The way people make a living out of the puzzles is that they sign up to a website that sends them every puzzle under the sun. They do them, and send them in, it is all probability.

I never win anything, so I don't enter, my sister won an all expenses paid luxary holiday to the Seychelles one year, she is soo jammy, she works in a travel agent and gets cheap flights anyway, but me never won a thing. sob sob.

I won a stupid christmas raffle hamper once, mainly christmas crackers and cans of out dated tinned food, but I did get my lovely dishcloths I donated back, best thing in the basket ( laundry - plastic ) !!
