Car ferry...uh no. You can ship your car over. You need to contact the state you are going to register the car in there and see if they allow it. You will have to make sure the car meets american specs. A lot of people find that its more expensive to ship a car than to sell and buy a new one. Good luck with that. There are cruses that leave from europe, I dunno about the UK and go to the States. Good luck with that one.

No way...only way to get your car over is to ship it over, this will take about three to four weeks.
Hire a car, driving in America is the easiest thing in the world (plus you get a car with the steering wheel on the correct side for the roads you will be using!)

If you're going on holiday then get a cruise ship and hire a car out there!
If you're going out there to live then you could get your own car transported but ask yourself just how much that heap of metal really means to you (and yes, despite what you may think, your car is not speaicl, it has no personality and there are thousands of others around like it). It's expensive and a whole lot of hassle to transoprt your car and get it re-registered.
Sell it and get a new one.

no you can transport a car by freight but it costs in the region of £3000 and is for peope who are emmigrating. a bit expensive and time consuming if you are just going on hols. why not take a transatlantic cruise (still v expensive mind) and hire a car at the other end

I sincerely doubt it. You could of course ship your car over either in a container, or as roll on roll off, but that would be incredibly expensive.
