I was wondering if someone can please help solve this math problem for me and provide me with the right answer. Here it is:

A girl has a nutritional deficiency and is told to take at least 2400mg of iron, 2100mg of vitamin B-1, and 1500mg of vitamin B-2. One Maxivite pill contains 40mg of iron, 10mg of B-1, and 5mg of B-2, and costs 6 cents. One Healthovite pill provides 10mg of iron, 15mg of B-1, and 15mg of B-2, and costs 8 cents. What is the least amount she can spend on Maxivite and Healthovite pills and still meet her requirements?

Let M be the amount of Maxivite pills taken, and H be the amount of Healthovite taken. There are 40mg of iron in the Maxivite pill and 10mg in the Healthovite pill. The total amount of iron taken in one day is therefore 40M + 10H. This must add up to at least 2400mg, so we have 40M + 10H ≥ 2400.

Doing the same for the B-1 and B-2 amounts, we have 10M + 15H ≥ 2100 and 5M + 15H ≥ 1500. The cost of taking the pills, in cents, is 6M + 8H.

So this becomes a linear programming problem:

Minimize 6M + 8H, gIven that:
40M + 10H ≥ 2400
10M + 15H ≥ 2100
5M + 15H ≥ 1500
M, H ≥ 0

Use linear programming methods to solve.

Needed:
2400mg of iron
2100mg of vitamin B-1,
1500mg of vitamin B-2

Have:
One Maxivite pill = 40mg of iron, 10mg of B-1, and 5mg of B-2, and costs 6 cents.
One Healthovite pill = 10mg of iron, 15mg of B-1, and 15mg of B-2, and costs 8 cents.

Set up equations:
6M = 40i + 10b1 + 5 b2,
8H = 10i + 15b1 + 15b2.
M + H >= 2400i + 2100b1 + 1500b2.

Solve:
7M + 9H = 2450i + 2125b1 + 1520b2; (all together)
