I'm just totally clueless about how that happened

Unfortunately, I do believe in the conspiracy theory. I believe she was involved with both late Pres. Kennedy and his brother Bobby. When both relationships failed, i believe she could have overdosed. But some including myself do believe that she knew too many secrets of the White House and though family members and friends knew of the personal relationship she had with both Kennedy's how would the world react to such scandal in those days and times even though some might have speculated about it. Those days were still in the Camelot era and when Jack was assassinated, Bobby was to continue on the family name. I think she was very depressed with the way things turned out with both Jack and then Bobby and someone was there to help her alone in her suicide so in truth a murder/suicide if this is at all possible.

Rumors were going around her involment with John and Robert Kennedy,the way they tried to quiet the investigations didn't help,funny how many years later Ted Kennedy also quiet down the death of a young girl and got away with it

She died from a drug overdose. Whether or not it was voluntary will never be known. I think it was the US Government who offed her because of her relationship with the Kennedys. We know that the US Government is capable of doing that. Look at what happened in Waco.

She was drugged by the Kennedys. The dope was going to reveal her affair with the two Kennedy brothers. Too bad she didn't realize how powerful and evil they were. So they wiped her out.

She was involved with the Kennedy's. I read an article in a Reader's Digest about her death, and basically it points to her knowing to much about White House and political functions. I think our government had her killed and made it to look like a suicide.
