The Departed is the best right now by far. That movie is amazing in my opinion.

If you like action and drama, then you'll like my choices. . .
I just rented Babel and it was a good story line about how people are tied together over an event. Can't say more or I will ruin the story. It does flip forward and backward in time but it makes it much more interesting. It should have gotten the Oscar.
I saw The Departed and for all the great actors thought it was just stupid for stupid sakes. It's a violent story about violent people but the punch line is really predictable and the last scene is sooooo stupid. Does Tarentino think we are just that unsophisticated(stupid) we didn't figure it out? And I guess the last scene was supposed to be clever. So much more could have been done with the actors in this film.
I also just saw (older) Syriana with G Clooney. It is heavy duty spy v spy and shows how the oil companies may just operate in the middle east. Clooney got an oscar.
And The Constant Gardner with Ray Fines(?). Good drama about corruption in Africa and the lack of value of life there. Fines plays his usual weak male role but well played. The actress that plays his wife does an extraordinary job in a great role. Good but not as good as the others.
Also older that I liked was The Interpreter-Sean Pean
And if you've never seen it, rent The Game with Micheal Douglas-way old, way good.

I don't think anyone's suggested this yet. It's already out on DVD but I didn't get to see it till recently. V for Vendetta is AWSOME! V's voice is soooo hot and it has kinda a sad ending but I fell in love with V. LOL! I love a man in a mask.

I watched The Illusionist, it was alot better than I thought it would be and you may enjoy it.
