Probably more than to bust your empty mushy head. Just the fact that you ask the question reveals you to be a juvenile putz who has nothing of importance to do in the world. Do your parents and wildlife everywhere a favor and go huff some butane instead. Hopefully you'll become an invalid and be slapped around by nursing staff for crapping on yourself.

It takes quite a bit of pressure and weight/strength but why are you trying to break the shell of a turtle? That's messed up and if you do anything to your pet turtle, you should be shot!

It depends on the turtle, because smaller turtles break much easier than the bigger ones. My brother was driving through California when he accidently ran over a turtle. It popped HIS tire, then got up and walked off the road!

Well one thing why would you want to do that to a poor turtle. And secondly if its dead still why would you want to bust its shell open thats just sick.

well fireside pretty well summed it up. seriously though most turtles are endangered, threatened, vulnerable, or on the verge of one of the three. just dont be a idiot.

I can't tell you the exact pressure needed but it seems like alot. I ran over one in my car (oopsie!) and it popped the shell.. It was loud... like a tire blow out.
