A love between sisters is definitely more strong than a love between a man and a woman! I'd never let a man come between my sister and I's bond! ((Same as with my brother))

Love between a man and woman definitely. A sister can't love you like a good man could.

I have heard the saying that blood is thicker then water. Sisters have more history too. The love is different hough. Love between a man and a woman often involves something sexual which adds a whole new dimension.

If I was asked to choose between my husband or my sister I would choose my husband because our relationship now defines my family.

It's hard to say. First of all, there are sisters who hate each other. That said, there are partners who literally kill each other. Is that because they love each other so much? I don't think so. In the end, it depends on the individuals involved, but on average I would bet on the sisters. Sisters don't "leave" sisters at the rate that men and women leave each other. My guess is that the rush of happy hormones causing inter-gender love wears off, but not so with sisters. However, love between men and women is more intense (that's for sure), and if it lasts then it is at the very least comparable with sisterly love. So, my final answer is that good, long lasting partnerships rival good (obviously long lasting) sisterhood.

I personally don't have a sister....but in any case I would think it hard to judge as I would hope the two would be very different kinds of love.....your comparisons both have different levels of intimacy....I would hope that sisters are not having the same levels of intimacy a man and a woman are having....

That depends on their relationship. Some siblings are very close and others aren't -- in which case the bond between man and woman may be greater.

Love between sisters, sometimes.
But love between a man and a woman can be even stronger.
So maybe it's equal.

that would depend on the up bringing of the sisters and their individual up bringing towards men.
if a lady is raised with only women and not so much as a male influence then they would tend to be more naturally close to women..
but if a ladly is raised with a good father figure and not much female influence then I would think that she would have a more loving relationship with a man, more then a sister
I was raised the youngest of 7 kids. 4 boys, 3 girls and mom and dad divorced when I was 10..I dont get along with my sisters and I tend to be closer to men, then women. so it depends on their upbringing.

love is love, the feelings are as strong between sister as with a partner, as long as they are equally reciprocated, of course with a partner you have the added advantage of physical love!!
