Possibly. As species go the hairless apes are too much quantity, not enough quality.

yes. it is in our nature to be greedy and we all want power. it's just going to get worse until something catastrophic happens. whether the small people revolt and overthrow the government, or a big guy goes crazy and flips a switch. there has never, and will never be peace. we had a little lull a few years back, so the younger crowd may find this abnormal, but there has always been some sort of war since the beginning of time. i'd like to live in a world with peace between countries, and peace and good will in every persons actions, but i don't think that will happen. i think what we are lacking is faith, not in God, but in humanity itself. all we can do is keep trying to be nice and good people and hope for the best for OUR lives.. i feel sorry for my children and grandchildren though..

Actually the record indicates that things are getting better. I know it is hard to realize because you are focused on a human lifetime. Generally there is less war and fewer crimes such as murder. What is more interesting is that these bad things are in decline constantly over time. There are small variations. If you look at WWII 3% of the human race died, 63 Million people including combatants.
So be assured that we always will be facing one crisis after another and the stakes will always be serious and yes, we will bleed and suffer but if you were gambling you should bet things are getting better.

Only humanity I have seen is Opera. She took her money and built a school half way around the world. Everyone else talks a good game.

We can't. Theres no way humanity can just change together. Because we are all different - and opinions are often centuries apart.
The only thing that can save humanity and our souls is Jesus.

Eventually. There is no longer enough self respect and consideration of others to keep us together.
We are separated by morals and it's interpretation by each one of us.

I know what you mean. All it takes to improve it all is tolerance. Yet we can't even do that... Seen the religion section here?

There are those of us working against that already. We are not just atheists, mind you. :)
