yes it is the actual germ that was given the child will now exhibit signs of the disease, fever, crying etc, until the body fights it off.
Sleep is one way the body fights it, many kids sleep when ill, her body is mimicking the illness, as it has detected the germ there.
It is building anti bodies to fight it.
Make sure she does not have a fever and keep an eye on her.
Make sure she is feeding also.

Completely normal.I have a 2 year old and even after she gets shots all she wants to do is sleep.Your baby also may not be all that hungry and thats also normal.Clean the area where your baby got the shots and keep an eye on his/her temp.

Don't worry everything your baby is doing is normal.Smile...get some rest and enjoy the pease and quiet!

Be glad. My daughter got a swollen thigh and cried so long from her shots at that age. I wanted to cry, too. Sleeping through discomfort is a good way to cope. Children do sleep more when they are growing fast, too. If it lasts more than a few days or there is any other symptom, call the pediatrician.

If you want to put your baby to sleep in 20 seconds you must get the "Instant Baby Sleep" MP3 sound track. Here is their official web-site: http://www.instantbabysleep.net

The sound track gently produces energy over the full human hearing spectrum with an embedded pulse that gently eases the brain to the Alpha state well known for drowsiness and sleep induction.

My baby had 3 sets of shots already and she slept all day for all three times. Just keep an eye on her but if are really worried, talk to your doctor.

yes yes it is, my son did that when we took him in for his shots, just give him tylonol and just check up on him/her it is perfectly normal for a baby at that age to sleep like that after such a big ordeal with needles. just check up on them and make sure there is nothing wrong like rashes ect that start to come out, most of the shots that they are given there is a side affect of sleeping and some times vomiting it is normal. but if it lasts for more than a day seek medical attention A.S.A.P.......

yes, i am surprised the nurse and/or Dr. did not tell you this before you left the clinic or office. Also they should have given you some sort of paper work to sign with information regarding the possible side effects of the shots???? Did you not read this?

Yes. Even older kids tend to fall asleep after their booster shoots. Just like when you take cold or allergy medication. If it really bugged you, ask the pediatrician about it on your next visit to ease your mind.
