"Today" and "ever" are two different things.
Today? No. No qualified women are currently in politics.
Ever? Ever is a long time. So, it could happen some day. But not in the foreseeable future.
And the common argument that a woman can get the woman vote, has at least two flaws.
1. Women, overall, don't vote.
2. Those that do, hardly ever vote for other women.

I'm a woman, but I'll have to play the devil's advocate here and say not right now. This country was founded by men, and for the U.S. population to overwhelmingly agree that a woman could run this country just as well or even better for that matter, than a man is highly unlikely to happen, although I'd love to see it done. It's not to say it won't happen in the future, but right now, I really don't think so.

Absolutely. There is a popular perception that this being the third millenium, it is time for someone besides a caucasion male to be President of the United States. If Condolezza Rice had decided to run, she could have broken two barriers at once, but she has expressed no interest. An interesting ticket would be Clinton/Obama or Obama/Clinton, for the same reasons.

I think it's possible-finally. I just don't think it's going to be Hillary. She's not getting my vote and I would love to vote for a qualified woman. We need some people of quality to step up and lead this country. I always seem to be voting for who I assume to be the lesser evil. . .and sometimes that is a hard choice.

I have to agree with the others...someday a woman could be president, but it will have to be a more qualified candidate than the choice we presently have. I just don't think it will happen this time.

Yes. I sure hope another one enters the race. I can't bring myself to vote for Hillary, but would like to vote for a qualified woman.
