Doesn't work that way my friend. And this one isn't Bush's fault. My home state of Maryland claims to be as liberal as I am, but smoking is now AGAINST THE LAW, because it impairs the rights of non smokers (which I am) So now my smoking friends don't come to the bar anymore, & jobs have been lost because sales are down.
Hats off to my fellow Dems for helping stifle the local economy & make smoking a crime!!
Late edit from a non smoker folks...WHY ARE CIGARETTES STILL LEGAL?? And alcohol kills folks by the tens of thousands why is it still legal??

Or better yet, how about the government stay out of peoples business and let the bars and clubs decided if someone can smoke there or not. Government does NOT have the authority to regulate such things. I don't care if voters vote for such ordinances, they are unconstitutional.
It should be up to each and every business owner to decided what can be done in their bar/club/restaurant. It's called freedom.
If you don't want to eat in a restaurant where people smoke, go somewhere else. If you don't want to drink at a bar where people smoke, go to a non-smoking bar. If you don't want to listen to that shock jock on the morning radio, change the station. Freedom isn't the government regulating what you can and cannot do and then telling you it's freedom. Freedom is deciding what you want to do without government interference.
The quicker you people wake up and learn that our government is violating the Constitution left and right the faster we can get back to a nation that really is "Land of the free and home of the brave."

Because putting out a list of bars that defy smoking bans would tell public health officials exactly where to go. Your question belies an inherent misunderstanding of the way the world works.

Is there anyone dumb enough to still smoke? I hardly see anyone doing it in public anymore.
Seems to me, that a bar going against smoking laws is likely to have any additional short term profits taken away by fines.

You have money left to go to bars? Cigarettes are so ridiculously expensive now, I'm surprised

Smoking is bad for you. My aunt smoked for 30 years and now she's dieing of cancer at the age of 60, has a few weeks left tops. She's on oxygen and looks horrible. Go to the cancer ward of a hospital and see people dieing of cancer and think, is it worth it? I bet my aunt doesn't think so...too late for her, but not for you.
