The next term is 8. -8 follows. Then comes - 9
8, -8 and -9 are the next 3 terms for sure.

Logic:
See the first four terms. The first number is not important. The second number is one less than the first. Then the third is the negative of the second number. The fourth is the negative of the first number. The overall sum of every four terms is 0.

If you are asking for the next term in the sequence, there is an infinite number of possible correct answers to this question.

If you are asking for the series, ie the sum of all those terms in the sequence that you have given, it's simply 9.
