The delivery is different. I hate it when women gossip, but then I find myself being a hypocrite, because I've discovered that I gossip with male coworkers about other coworkers. It depends on the person. The only way I found out that I was doing it was when a guy I was talking to wouldn't participate, he only had nice things to say about people. Then it clicked, I was a one of the gossiping idiots that I'm always complaining about. I think women are more cruel with their gossips, men would rather trash talk sports players.

Ive learned that women and men have different tactics to doing things but they do gossip. Its just that they may not gossip about the same things women do but they do gossip. Thats how guys may find out about the college hoe, or college stripper. The find out all types of things by talking with each other. Its just that females may gossip about things that guys may consider simple. But we are all not really different when it goes to talkin about others.

Yes, it is common among usually young men. It's a form of contest, an attempt to move up the pecking order, especially if you're further down than you want to be. Some guys never get over it, but most do.

Sure men do it too. They dont get as petty as the girl do.
They just say it as it was told to them.
And when guys gossip, it is reffered to as shooting the sh1t

yes it is common, it may be a 'girl' trait but it is the men who utilise it more. Men have a strong feminine side even though they try to be tough and cover for it.

yeah right....go to any division of the military, any Frat house, and sports bar, and sort of male event where there are 2 or...no..make that 3 or more men and ....by golly.......put on some wigs and some makeup and i'd swear it was a buncha ninnies.

Well it used to be that way, but nowadays men do what women do, right down to straigtening their hair and wearing girl pants.
