I posted the Question about the Knocking sounds, and just need to know how the adjust the Timing on the LS1. I know that their are Coil-Packs that create the Spark. I would like to know how to adjust the Timing. Please let me know! Thank You!!

You need to be more specific. Year and make. However you said it has coil packs. So timing is computer controlled and cannot be adjusted manually. I have heard that you can buy super chips that have a scan tool that will allow you to change the timing.

There is no timing adjustment on that engine. It is all done by the computer. There is a sensor that reads crankshaft position and rotational speed, the computer then looks at coolant temp, throttle, mass airflow, intake air temp, etc. The computer also looks at knock sensor activity and determines optimal spark timing.
If you can "adjust the distributer" I'd like to see it!
If you are getting detonation knock, then one of the two knock sensors is probably not working, or you aren't using gas with high enough octane rating, or you have a partially plugged cat.

You don't The computer adjusts the timing. You Need to check for bad sensors. Adjust the distributor. Yeah that's a good one.

There is no timing to adjust, its all done by the pcm.if its pinging then you need to have it scanned to ck for codes that might be related to your problem.

Well, you can do it by ear the regular method, loosen up the
distributor bla, bla bla, but you really need a timing gun,
and to mark the right pully top dead center, as it has a
groove, wich you need to find and draw over with white
chalk, then hook up the timing gun and adjust till
it comes together while idleling and lighting with the timing gun
to top dead center. Youl'll see it what I'm talking about when you
do it. Hope it helps.
