No, the biggest lie I feel would be saying that there's no God. Religion though, can hinder someone from growing spiritually!!! Religion is basically outside forces that somewhat try to mold and form people, where as spirituality comes from the inside of each person and grows outward. So, many times the spiritual side of us wants to come out, but the religion is pressing on us from the outside stopping the growth of the spirit.

I think it can be; it depends on the organization. I do think that we function best as individuals when we're in community --hence this forum: none of us would be interested in Yahoo!Answers at all if we weren't innately drawn to community.
All that to say, I do think we are spiritual beings with spiritual needs that can only be met in community, which requires organization. We need people in whom we can feel at home (love, peace, security, acceptance; shalom). If we didn't, we would never be lonely. Because we need one another, I don't think religion can be a private matter.
Often people alone don't seem to be able to meet our deepest spiritual needs even when they want to and try to. There has to be something more.

Funny question
Christianity, Hindu, Muslim, Jews and all other are organised.
Nothing can operate without some kind of organization.
Not even your household!
Some religions or groups from certain religions are maybe to organized to allow freedom in religion, but a lie, I will not say.
People abuse religion for their own selfish reasons and gain.
That don't justify the lie, because you cannot control everybody that misuse or abuse a religion to do wrong.
Unfortunately it does happen and people blame religion first.
Somebody must be blamed. God is not phisically in front of
you and therefore easy to blame, because we think He don't see or hear you.
Religion must be organized. People need structure in their lives. We won't admit it, but it's true.
In short my answer and hopefully enough.

Organized religion is the most devisive thing out there. It is responsible for more war than any other single reason, and it's all based on mythology

Just as any human organization, it is a form of control. It allows others to tell others what to do, basically. You should look at you faith individually, not how someone (except for God or whoever) tells you.

I think so. I don't understand how 1 person can tell me how to live my life, what is right, what is wrong, or what to think. Religion it's self is okay, but religion is led by people. People are corrupt, therefore, religion is corrupt.

The question indicates the presence of many spiritual lies. What other spiritual lies am I to compare organized religion to? Please advise.
