Okay these are the things i would avoid and slowly introduce:
Onion
Broccili
Garlic
Spices
Curry
Tomoto
Orange Jucie (i orange is okay but not big glasses of juice)
You should avoid it because it gives the baby wind which can cause it to get an upset stomach,

Most things will not harm the baby. It's possible they may not like the taste of your milk if you have eaten really strongly flavored food, like garlic or curry. You still want to eat healthy, and it's best to eat foods in as close to their natural state as possible. Take it easy on the caffeine and alcohol, although a bit is still OK. I honestly can't think of anything I don't eat because I'm breastfeeding. It's actually easier than eating while your pregnant!
Just have to add-I've lost all my baby weight, plus an extra 17 pounds in 5 months because of nursing!

There is really nothing that would harm the baby, unless you have a history of severe allergies in your family, in which case you need to talk to your doctor about your diet. It's really a matter of what the baby will tolerate, because the food you eat will flavor and affect your milk, and also cause gassy tummy in the baby. So very strongly flavored and spicy foods I would limit, and foods that are known to be gas-causing.

Just be carefull with fish. Some fish may contain mercury that can harm your baby.
But other than that you can eat anything but wisely, like not to many brocoli or cabbage that can make your baby passing gas, or not to much coffee that contain cafein...but mostly you can eat anything...include sushi if you like.

you can eat any and everything when nursing, your body will take what it wants to make the milk for your breast.
There was nothing I did not eat, and my babies where huge, off of breast milk, some I gave porridge.
But the only thing you have to be careful with is medication.
otherwise eat well, and healthy cause you will pile on the pounds.Lol

Please avoid peanut butter, peanuts, and other nuts as there has been a link in allergies from breastfeeding moms who ate these items. My oldest daughter has nut-peanut allergies and I ate peanut butter sandwiches for lunch while BF her.
Also I have found that when I drink a lot of soda pop,,,even non caffeine kind,,,that my second daughter had severe gas problems. She is much less gassy since I have cut out all pop.....and garlic, too.

all of us is diverse. I ate despite i wanted, and my son never had a situation. i've got not eaten plenty and lost weight. (till he started on stable ingredients and that i ballooned up.) My sister-in-regulation could no longer consume onions or peppers, she stated they did no longer consider the toddler. try despite you like and notice if the twins have a reaction. stable success and congratulations!

Your question pretty much depends on how much sleep time you'd like yourself after feedind - bland is good - stone fruit, peas and grapes avoid and your best bet is rather than yahoo answers, join a mothers group where you'll get a hell of a lot more accuracy and first-hand experience from nursing mothers.

I remember when my god daughter was breastfeeding her youngest and would eat onions...That little baby would look up and SCREAM! When she got teeth and mom would eat onions she would literally bite her mother...needless to say that was about the time the child was weaned from the breast LOL
