Not quite yet. I'd advise waiting until they get most of the bugs out of the system. Basically, wait until the price goes down.

Years ago it was announced that HDTV would be the standard for TV transmission at the end of 2006. It's not a craze, get used to it.

No Old story wait five years and get a better product at a fraction of the cost.Examples computers DVD recorders. If you buy now you will not know how long the first generation products will last. The cost to fix a HDTV is expensive.

ABSOLUTELY. i have HDTV, and an HD DVR for my t.v. so i can watch a bunch of shows and movies in HD and it rocks!! i love it so much- the clarity is amazing, and you see much more detail that you do on normal t.v. I would check it out- definitely worth the money. I'll never go back to a normal t.v. (:

Don't buy your own HDTV yet, there are only a few channels, but some movies look fu*king amazing! so i suggest you just make friends with someone who has one. Ha ha ha ha

I have to ask why having HDTV does not increase the sense of mediocrity. shouldn't it?

Yes it is. It's a great invention. You feel like you are actually there instead of staring at a screen!
