Hi Annie, I'm Vero at Phone Sherpa. We're the world’s leading ringtone maker and ringtone store service. You can use Phone Sherpa once for free. After that, you pay per use, buy 8 uses for $9.99 or buy our unlimited package ($19.99).
We never sign you up for recurring charges, alerts or any of the other sneaky things the "free" ringtone companies do. You don't need to download any software either so there is no risk of spyware which is common among other companies.
Our customers tell us that we have the best customer service in the industry and we support hundreds more phones than any other company. I hope this helps.
Vero

You can just use Audacity create ringtones from MP3. You will also need Lame MP3 encoder to extract the selected track to MP3.

I tried Phone Sherpa yesterday. I tried it for free, and I liked that I was not required to enter my credit card during sign up. I can't stand going to a site and having to enter my card right away. Good luck.

i bought a program at target called ring factory 3.0
it allows you to take a portion or all of a mp3 and send it to your phone without wires, it sends a link to your phone, you go the link (if your phone is internet capable) and just download it to your phone. it will also make screensavers for your phone, and allow you to send videos to your phone as well.
i like it a lot for the 9.99 i spent on the program

mp3trim is free software that lets you trim any section out of any song that you have on your computer. Just trim the section you like, and move it to your phone.
