Most of ther lovers were driven towards explicit characters, a boy friend will look for characters.

A boy friend can be boyfriend of 1 or more girls at a time and a lover will love only one girl for lifetime.So lover is loyal and bf is not..

No difference at all between boy friend and lover. only position differs because first boy friend ,then boy friend becomes lover slowly

Lover means 2 persons (male & female) Loves each other. And boy friend means a male friend.

No one really uses the term lover anymore! It sounds more scandalous! I suppose a lover would just refer to someone you're sleeping with whereas a boyfriend would be someone you're in a loving relationship with. I suppose the terms may be inter-changeable, a matter of preference depending how someone wants to refer to their partner...I prefer to use the word boyfriend. Lover makes it sound like you're just using them for sex. He's good for more than that! :)

lover is just a guy next door who is there beside you but not with you, he's always with those intentions to expect a way lot too much from your life.
but a boy friend isn't that way, he's more of your friend first n then something else beyond that limit.. so tentatively he's more apprehensive n emphathizing in any approach towards you.
