No. They traded him to get themselves under the salary cap. It's possible that a lot of the Steelers were/are on HGH because I just don't believe the Doctor.

First off, they did not trade them. They cut him. They had 4 great linebackers (haggans, foote, farrior, and porter) but Porter cost the most. Tomlin is going to change the defense into a 4-3 and scrap the old 3-4 defense. Porter would no longer be the expert. He would have to retrain many of his skills to better fit the scheme. It wasn't worth it for the Steelers to pay 6 million a year for someone who did not fit the scheme. We will see Haggans and probably Farrior follow suit in the next few years while Tomlin revamps the Steeler way of running things. Just a matter of time. So...no. Not HGH.

Ok people they did NOT trade him. They are getting NOTHING from the Dolphins. They CUT him. Anyway it wasn't about HGH either. It was about the Salary Cap and I think he wanted out. I think with Cowher leaving, and Porter's relationship with Cowher, that Porter wanted out.

No. If he had taken enough HGH to remain at the level he was playing at a couple years ago, they would have kept him.

mickey, your right with your answer but they are not scraping the 3-4 for the 4-3, they are going to run a hybrid of both of them together, like the Patriots!
