Probably not...he has the skill but the defense has lots of work to do and they are always going to have to play from behind..they score a lot but they also give up huge points so until the defense is better and they don't have to throw the ball 40+ times, he will never have enough chances to get that close to the single season rushing record

I want to start by saying I'm a HUGE 49er fan. Having said that, no, gore will not break the single season record. The 49ers do not run an offense that allows a man like Gore to do that. We strive for balance, we always have. We will continue to keep our lined balanced so that we aren't pure run or pure pass. We will continue to pick up an abundance of receivers, and draft picks like Vernon Davis that will take away from Gore. And we will continue to build on the future lottery cash in of Alex Smith. Gore will be a dominant running back for years to come, but no, he will never own the single season record.

No way. He had a great season but the fact is teams now know who he is and will gear their defenses at stopping him. The 49ers have NO passing threat so it pretty much knoen that he is going to be getting alot of touches on the ball.

In my honest opinion... he has had the best year he will ever have. Not to say he still wont be a solid running back.

seem at a number of those human beings complaining. The asker reported he "seems" unstoppable. You all purely could desire to cool down. it somewhat is obtainable that Adrian Peterson will wreck the only season rushing checklist purely because it somewhat is obtainable for all different working backs. yet Adrian Peterson has a greater effective risk simply by fact he's somewhat experienced and proficient. Now as for crowning him the "terrific working back Ever," he's purely finished his 1st 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. He has to accomplish like this for no less than 10+ greater seasons as a manner to be indexed between the greats. yet any guy or woman can of course see that advert is greater advantageous than "good."

we did strengthen our O-line with addition of that new center, and if Alex gets better he will open up the game for the run. I dont think he will break the rushing record because all but one team who player did has losing seasons because they had no passing game. We will have a winning season this year so he wont break it....but he will get close

are you stoned? Gore has the same shot of rushing for 2000 yrds as I do. We both don't have a line that could stop a high school defense and in two more years neither of us will be in the league.

I don't think he will this year or do it anytime soon. I'm not trying to put him down either. It is just how high the bar has been set in that sense.
