Liberal is a misconstrued word. Its followers use the classic definition but they would be wrong in doing so in today's time. In today's definitions and reality liberalism is the PC word for socialism. Socialism is a form of government where the government not the people make the decisions over day to day life. Liberals in America today are really socialists but no one will vote for a socialist. They want SS tax increased, they want profits marginalized, they want income to be redistributed, they want immigration without guidelines, they want abortion on demand, they want abnormal sexual lifestyles forced down societies throat. They hate the military, they hate independent thought that does not blindly follow their own.
While many liberals try to be decent people, I know a "few", most are really the extreme of society. Liberals are NOT mainstream nor are they in the majority. If you look at the 2006 election, over 88% of the candidates that lost were liberal. Conservative Democrats doubled in number in Congress. Conservative Republicans held onto their seats ( a few did lose).
So if anyone tells you that being liberal is good, look at them and laugh quietly, they do not understand the reality of today's liberalism. Oh, I know I just pissed off every lib on here but sometimes the truth hurts.

Good question, but being bad is, after all is said and done, a minor offensive compared to fraud. Fraud, of course, is lying about important things and getting caught red handed.
It must be embarrassing to have two Presidents who have been run out of town for being compulsive liars, and generally contrary people.
Contraries are fun to watch but hell to serve under. They would rather do things wrong on purpose than worry about it. They would in fact rather be accused and found guilty of fraud then get caught telling the truth.
Bush is a contrary without a doubt, and we liberals not only mourn for our Troops which are being wounded twice, once by the enemy and secondly by the American leadership, but we mourn also for the Republicans who support the Iraq War and have to lie and coverup the obvious facts.
We are going to loss this War!!! And your behaviour means it will be an even worse lose because of stubborn men who can't accept being wrong!

It's not a "bad word." It's just a wrong way of thinking.
Why should the government be responsible for everyone from cradle to grave? What ever happened to PERSONAL responsibility?

Let's look at this logically...The definition of a liberal is.. broad-minded: tolerant of different views and standards of behavior in others
- progressive politically or socially: favoring gradual reform, especially political reforms that extend democracy, distribute wealth more evenly, and protect the personal freedom of the individual
- generous: freely giving...
The definition of a conservative is - reluctant to accept change: in favor of preserving the status quo and traditional values and customs, and against abrupt change
- of conservatism: relating to, characteristic of, or displaying conservatism
- cautious and on low side: cautiously moderate and therefore often less than the final outcome
You tell me which seems like a bad word..personally conservative is.

It is not, although the illiterate idiots grouped in the scum of the country called "republicans" keep on trying to prove so. Fortunately, they are illiterate and too stupid to learn the language properly, so few really care about their grunting.
