DO NOT BUY OR HAVE YOUR TRANNY REBUILT. It Will Not Be Done Right. your only option is to find one in a salvage yard with a used trans, but you wont find many of these in junk yards. A new one will set you back about $3,000.

I promis you that if you have it rebuilt you will regret it. Once its stripped it will never perform the same!

The stock clutch in the evo is a joke. At the same time you do this you may also want to add a exeddy "darkin" stage 2 clutch. This clutch will increase your grip by 75% but it wont shift harsh or rattle too bad.

I don't know how active you are in the Evo "scene" but I would check out evolutionm.net

It's a great forum for all things evo and check out the "For Sale" section. Also, if you can't find anything on your first try, post something on the forums stating what exactly you're looking for (i.e. year, MR or non-MR, and whether you need just the tranny or transfer case as well) or contact some of the vendors on the site and someone should definitely be able to help you find something.

Good luck
