Some people think when you ask such a question that you are racial, but the truth is tat we, Black, White, Asian, Indian whatever know so little about one another. I feel without knowledge we will never understand what it means to be one Family.

You wont like this answer but its only my opinion. I think some get offended because they think you are asking questions in order to have accurate info to accurately criticize because that's what they have experienced and now expect. People are all different, and we aren't one big family, we are different, I don't care about whats going on with other cultures what I care about is preserving mine. some call that racist, I call it pride. why you are trying to think of everyone as one big family, you better use some of that energy taking care of you and yours, or someone else will. I don't want every culture to mix up, I am white and I would like to see my bloodline stay pure, I respect differences, but with all do respect I prefer to worry about my culture and make sure it survives, thrives and kicks ass;;;;;

Well it depends on the individual, and sometimes they do get offended by the question because they may feel that it is an ignorant question. Others may feel that to move forward as a nation we must be colored blind and disregard generalization by the color of our skin. idk.

I personally don't feel this way because when someone ask me a question about my race or culture I see it as an opportunity to educate someone about myself.
