Is it possible to gain true and honest friendship through Internet? though we can't meet each other?

Question

what i mean is this friends can have no chance to meet each other, (but if it happens to meet each other in a miraculous way)

but only through mails, sharing photos, chatting etc.,

will they be honest? will they have the mind to sacrifice (if it is neccessary) to maintain thier friendship?

will it be thrilling to have this friendship or just boring one?

if any one think it can work out to have nice friend thorugh net, I wish to have some friends through this question.

You can have a great friendship through the web. You can probably be more honest with someone that cannot see you. It is probably easier to make friends because there is a larger pool of people to choose from than in your town. More people means better chance of meeting someone with equal values and interests.
