Losing a finger.

Okay, so no one wants to lose a finger, but if I lost one of mine I think I'd have to cut off my whole hand. Sometimes, I think about it and get afraid, so I'll just walk around with my hands in fists. I'm always afraid some shark is going to come along while I'm in the ocean, so I swim with my hands in fists, too.

I remember one of my college professors once held his hand in such a way that it create an optical illusion that he was missing a finger. I started to swoon. Luckily, he moved his hand and I recovered before I fell out of my chair.

Another time I met this guy who was a victim of severe burns over his whole body. It actually didn't really bother me, but then I shook his hand. It took all my effort to not throw up. I'm sure he noticed something, and I felt so bad. I wanted to say, "It's just the fingers. Everything else I can handle."

When changing a light bulb, I get really freaked out that it will turn on and burn my fingers. So I always make sure the light/lamp switch is off before changing it.

There's two light switches on opposite sides of the hallway of my home that are connected to two different lamps (but if one bulb burns off either switch can control the remaining bulb). So there's always doubt on whether the light bulb will happen to turn on or not.

It's happened to me before and I've dropped the light bulb; breaking it every time. So if I'm in doubt I'll make someone else change the light bulb.

I'm scared to death of going in elevators by myself. I'd rather walk up, and the number of floors doesnt bother me, rather than take an elevator alone.

Swimming alone in a pool... did this recently and I was afraid out of my mind... actually thought there might be a shark in the water.

I avoid using elevators alone. I'm afraid I might get stuck in one between floors.

I have this phobia that all religions will wake up to what they are doing, and the killing still goes on.
