So I got a letter in the mail that had a return address of:

Fleet
9674 E. Arapahoe Road #210
Englewood, CO 80112

It said:

Dear _____,

Delivery was attempted at your address between the hours of 1:00-4:00 pm on February 26. Unfortunatly the driver did not find you at home to sign for the delivery. In order to recieve your delivery please call us at (800)568-6474 extension #2490 and leave your name, proper address and proper time for us to re-deliver.

Sincerely,

Debbie McKnight
Customer Service Manager

So I called the number and left a message asking for a return call. Nothing. I called back and left a message that I have not ordered a package and to please return my call. Nothing.

I recieved another letter two days later basically saying the same thing and that if I didn't call them back within four days my package would be returned to sender.

The main point is I have not ordered anything... Scam or similar type dealings with this company?

This scam goes way back......they get people to really want to know what the pkg. is, and there may be exorbitant fees you'll need to pay to receive the pkg., or it will have postage due, and there will be junk in the pkg. If you didn't order it, and aren't expecting anything from a friend or relative, forget about it. I wouldn't accept it. Sounds suspicious.

It is some sort of scam, sounds like they want to know when you won't be home.
If it were actually a delivered package, a slip would have been left by UPS or FedEx or USPS saying that a delivery attempt failed. The driver wouldn't just leave and have the sender send you a letter saying delivery failed. Whatever the scam, it's a scam. So ignore it.

It is a scam. Give them no information. Not so much as a name, a telephone number and definitely not an address. Nothing. Good luck.

call the better buisness bureau in that area and see what they have to say, and try looking up the company on the internet and see what you find.....DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION ABOUT YOURSELF IF YOU DIDN'T ORDER ANYTHING, ESPECIALLY YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER!!! No matter what they say if you ever do get a hold of them!! (letting some stranger know when your going to be home/not home could be dangerous, or have your home wiped out)

not only is that a scam but it's also mail fraud. contact the postal service, or go to the postal service main office and show them the package. this is a big no no! since they have claimed they owe you something they have to give it to you WITHOUT your current info. so you may be getting something for nothing now since they decided to commit fraud. good luck!
