Why is it that every time a good player is traded,most of the media act as if it's the end of the world?

I'm obviously talking about the Thomas Jones trade.Your thoughts on it.

its the media's job to scrutinize every move made in sports, to sell more papers, or comercial time on tv...and losing Jones is going to hurt that team...

Because this will kill any hope of the Bears going back to the Super Bowl for the NFC...So, in effect, it IS the end of the world, for the Bears...The freaking STARTING RB...What were they thinking?...Benson is not ready...
