Your money will be refunded. Whether or not he's punished would be up to the bank usually. Your bank might require you to file a police report depending on the circumstances (who did it, what the bill was for, if there's any connection to you, etc.).

as theft, most likely identity theft. It should be. It just like someone stole your checks. i think it is a felonly if it is over $500. and with all the additional charges, it could be. Most likely the bank will end up taking care of it. when my checks were stolen, i gave a statement to the police and a signature sample. My bank and the business where the checks were written filed charges. and all the money was put back in my account. Good luck.

I would print out any screen shots of the pertinent information, then make at least one extra copy to keep for yourself and leave one at home and take the other with you, drive to your bank and wait in line, then tell the clerk what happened and you will likely have to then wait for to speak to the manager, and take things from there.
Keep an open mind, I can not tell you how it goes lol.

Unauthorized use is stealing. Your "friend" is nothing more than a thief. Report it and him before he cleans you out. You will probably need to change your accounts and be more careful with whom you trust. Get this person out of your life asap.
