That's how mules come about. They're a mixture of a horse and a donkey. I'm pretty sure mules can't breed though. I believe they're born sterile.

Yes, but not mules. Mules (mix between donkey and horse) cannot have babies. If you have a female donkey, don't breed her to too big of another equine, she could get hurt while being bred or when giving birth.

yup just like the others have said: Donkey + Horse = Mule, and yes its true mules are sterile and cannot make more mules, you have to mix donkeys w horses to get mules so its done on a very regular basis as a lot of people use mules

Yes, they can though as the resulting offspring are generally useless other than dog meat or glue, it's not a very desirable match. Physically anything of the equine category can breed with other equines, it's just not commonly encouraged.

yes they can. they breed with horses. u have a female donkey and a male, stud, horse and they have a mule. an mules cannot breed. they are born sterile.
