I'm currently taking an acting course (level one) in my college and I have taken acting classes and been involved with acting/modeling in the past. However, I'm also an introverted/shy type (seems to be opposite, yea I kno), and I'm in a class where they act more like high school snobs than college-age mature minded people, and half the students there already have a formulated and unfair opinion of me. Every time I perform (or attempt to), she says nothing, puts me down, or just throws me to the side while everyone else she offers not only advice, but she works with them too, whereas she barely acknowledges I'm there and come time where I have a question/comment, she just shurgs it off. Whether or not i'm a good actor is one thing, but seriously how do you deal with a teacher whose opinion already seems to be set about you and doesn't give you a fair chance?

I would ask to speak with her after class. And if she does not want to listen then tell her that you will have to be the mature person and let it go. And get through that class and then say good riddance.

Talk to her in private and ask her to give you some feedback and what you can do to improve in her class. Try not to accuse her or be defensive. Just tell her you do not feel you are making progress in her class.

If she will not give you an opportunity to let you show you and the class your talent drop the class and take it somewhere else with another instructor if you can.
