No way, when I was younger I was totally into Baseball, that ended and I got into acting. I won awards and all kinds of stuff but when I went to college I realized I wanted to be a Sociology major and I stopped acting. Not only that but my grades were horrible in high school, but I shaped up in community college and I was able to transfer to USC. I never thought I'd be at a university like this, and I still feel kinda out of place. But I'm happy with where I'm going and that's all that matters for now... I hope you're where you want to be too.

No. I'm not the famous sports journalist writing for SI, I'm not living in a major metropolitan area, and as far as "the stuff I wanted to do," well, I never really fleshed that out when I was younger.
BUT, I will say that I not only have a lot of the things that I pursued later in life, but I also learned to WANT what it is I have. I pursued a career choice a couple of years ago, and now I'm doing it (and I'm pretty good at it, too), so believe me when I say that if you want something bad enough, you can achieve it. I also count my blessings, and I realized that I really do have everything I need, from a home, an education, good health, a supportive partner, to name a few. The key is to not complain about not having certain things. Usually these things turn out to be petty anyway.

Nothing ever turns out exactly the way we want it to. When I was thirteen I wanted to be in a Hard Rock band and tour the planet playing music. It was all I wanted to do, y'know?
Yet here, I am, 25 years old with a wife and two kids that I love, and I can honestly say that I don't think I'd have been a bit happier being in a band and touring the world than I am with my station and the family I've made with my wife.
I guess it's all in your state of mind, and the saying "to each his own" is really true...

No, not really. But some of the changes that I thought were bad at first ended up good in the long run, and some of the events that I was stoked on ended up sucking in the long run. Even though I'm not where I thought I woud be I'm in a really good place.

Not at all...As a kid I liked chemistry, but my parents put me to a Lycee ( general education school similar to college )...I didn't like it in particular, never continued my studies on university as expected and at the age of 20 I was already a clerk in an office with 20 people doing almost nothing...
It had its bright side though; I became independent at an relatively early age, bought a little car and used to have fun with my palls on weekends. I newer met a woman to suit me, so at the age of 47 I still live with my mother, which is not so bad altogether, my mother being a good cook and relatively healthy...

No, mine didn't, I ended up marrying the man of my dreams and he is raising my two children with me, under God's instructions, the Bible....
I thought I would be a statistic, getting pregnant in high school and leading an uninteresting, socially challenged life....much can change through Christ....
