Obviously, it is!?
Try Belkin, they're good; but tell the guy the bandwidth that you have and buy the one that's best suited for it, OK?
Cheers!

See, this is where a lot of people get confused. When you plug your Ethernet cable into your computer, you get a 100mpbs connection, almost 100% of the time. However, that isn't your connection to the internet, that's the speed at which you're connected to the device that is connecting to the internet (e.g. modem, router).
The highest speeds available to the average consumer right now are around 6-12 megaBITS per second (750-1,500 KiloBYTES per second). Wireless routers are typically more limited in speed, however, that's only going to affect device-to-device transfers, not internet transfers. For example, if you have two computers connected to a router via ethernet @ 100 mpbs, a file transferred between the computers would complete roughly twice as fast as if those computers were connected wirelessly. (rough numbers, as real world situations usually don't reach the full speed, especially if there is interference between the transmitters and receivers).
Bottom line, you're fine with the router you've got. :)

Are you sure you are looking the Mbps/mbps correctly? Anyway...no, your router is NOT slowing down your connection. It really should only be a concern if you're are setting up a home network. Even if you are that should be more than enough speed or bandwidth for you to play with. For example: I stream HDTV movies from my laptop wirelessly to my xbox 360 using a 54Mbps router without a hitch.

No its not! You are misreading your bits and bytes! At best, with a cable connection, you might be getting 10 megs a second but I highly doubt it! Anything other than cable wont be over 2 megs per second!
