when we'er really angry at them, they know it! I hated when my mom used my middle name, I knew I was in deep crap when she did. I used to run and hide, lol!

A few months ago a woman was asking what would be a cute middle name for her daughter that she was going to name "Heaven". I said she should make it "Helpme", because when she got older and did something to make her mad she could respond with "Heaven Helpme, what did you do now?" and it would sound good.

Hahahaa, yes! Also it's a chance to sneak in those gosh awful family names that have been passed down from generation to generation, just to make our loved ones feel like we love them enough to name a baby after them, but not enough to make it the first name, hahaha!

I'm sure their must be a proper reason behind having middle names. I know the greeks do not have middle names, so they are not essential.

yeah and did you ever notice that most names including the middle name all flow? like it's effortless to yell it out? I think parents practice using the middle name and if it flows it's good.... I hat eit when my mom says my middle name too and like you I try to slip out of the stituation :o)
