Government, Judiciary and Church. Basically the estates are the 'foundations of society' and the fourth estate - the press - is the one that keeps them honest
The answer above is what it used to be in feudal times, but since the foundation of the press and modern society, nobility and commoners are no longer used as 'estates' because our society does not rely on them as much as in history
