If you have been taking your birth control regularly for at least a month i would not worry about taking the morning after pill. If you have missed one or more pills this month- i may consider it- but only after you have talked to a doctor or pharmacist about it.
And contrary to what some people have answered... YOU CAN GET PREGNANT 3-5 days before your period. You can actually get pregnant any time during your cycle. Sperm can live for up to 7 days inside a womans body, so depending on when you ovulate, you can get pregnant at ANY time.

they are highly a lot a similar, the abortion pill flushes an already implanted, fertilized ovum out of the womb, for this reason growing to be a mini abortion/miscarriage. The morning after pill if taken properly and in time (that section might want to correctly be "iffy" at maximum suitable) prevents implantation of an already fertilized ovum contained in the first few hours of concept. purely problem with the "morning after pill" is that when it truly is taken the fertilized ovum might want to no longer have made it to the uterus as a fashion to implant so all which will be flushed out of the womb will be the tissue accumlated and after the female has a era the ovum can nevertheless implant. it truly is why at the same time as they were by prescription purely a doctor might want to recommend his affected individual to go back in 6 to eight weeks for a being pregnant try. women human beings at the on the spot are not recommended that with it OTC and are searching themselves pregnant after taking the morning after pill because it did not artwork. do not forget that at the same time as the abortion pill does that is meant job ninety 9% of the time the morning after pill is barely 80 5% outcome IF taken properly. there's a highly enormous distinction between ninety 9% powerful and 80 5% powerful. And hayde expensive you're incorrect...the morning after pill does no longer ward off ovulation. accepted birth control prevents ovulation (or "postpones it") by regulating menses for this reason scuffling with (in ninety 9% of the circumstances) fertilization of an ovum.

You do not need to take the morning after pill if you have been taking your other bc pills every single day at about the same time (note: you don't have to take it at exactly the same time, but make it close).
If you just started bc pills for the first time, you need to take them for a week in order for them to be effective against pregnancy.

A morning after pill is just a double dose of Orthotrycyclin, birth control. . . so I dont think it will do much.
Oh, and you cant get pregnant in the 3-4 days before your cycle, even if you werent onthe pill.
